I'm grungerabbit, aka Cheryl Wu. I'm a silly girl, 18 & mixed about it.
I really enjoy contradictory extremes; average things, not so much. I survive on technology, constantly playing music, crappy analogies, and way too much food.
You'll find me in most settings staring at an iProduct. [It's pretty bad.]
I'll be starting too many projects, snarking, artsin' it up, learning useless stuff, or getting sucked into internet wormholes. Oh, or writing really long copy.
Besides technology, I like dreaming, getting lost, going to concerts and other live entertainment, butchering languages, obsessing, staying up too late, cursing too much, having time to be aimless, writing, thrifting, shopping, critiquing, planning nothing, and identifying typography in the real world.
Yeah gurrrrl, coding is my jam. Or kinda, at least.
I have around 7 years' experience with CSS and HTML. I can also understand, modify, and write really basic Javascript and PHP. So I'm not exactly an intense coder.
gr.com was designed, coded, and written by me, except for the gallery backend. I'm the designer in a web parternship that I co-founded with my close friend Charles Cary. He's the developer. We're GREEDYTREES. Hire us!
I was born with art supplies in my tiny fetal flippers.
I wasn't really interested in art until 4th or 5th grade. In 6th grade the passion exploded, and with interest blossoms talent, develops skill. Y'know the deal.
I use varied media, especially acrylic, inks, watercolor, markers, colored pencil, oil pastel and crayons. I enjoy experimenting. I am also proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

I'm currently working on several ideas and I'm really excited about the tech startup culture as well as the art world. Whiiiiich seat will I take?
Further on, I want to be really rich and famous and own a restaurant called Food with my best friend. We'll serve dishes named after and inspired by all the people we've ever known in our lives
I'm leaning towards combining design and entrepreneurship. What kind of design? I'll find out in my next 4 years at NYU Gallatin! I could just design everything, ever. That happens, right?

Some people have music ADD, I have music fixations.
My favorite band is Elle Milano and my favorite musician is their frontman, Adam M. Crisp. I'm pretty obsessed with his voice, lyrics, melodies, everything.
I adore attending live music events. If you were to lump my music tastes, it'd be... probably indie, but what does that mean? I don't know how to describe it, so visit my last.fm!
»Fashion!
I'm obsessed with the house of Christian Dior. Galliano [was] brilliant.
But I prefer Dior Homme under the direction of Hedi Slimane. Absolutely impeccable.
As for things I actually wear, the majority of my wardrobe is from thrift stores. Thrift stores are magical, maaan.
I dress by color, pattern, texture, and whatever I happen to see first in the morning.
